ABOUT RMZR
Welcome to my second year hosting a Zentangle Retreat. Retreats are a wonderful way to immerse yourself in a creative environment, with other like-minded people. You learn so much in this type of setting, as well as meeting new friends. We had a lot of fun last year and learned so much. I expect this year to be even better. This year we will have two separate retreats. The June retreat is focused on CZTs (although all tanglers are welcome)  and will include 20 hours of class instruction, all designed for you to go home and teach the classes to your own students. As CZTs you will receive class curriculum, lesson plan suggestions, supplies, tips and tricks. The October retreat is open to all Zentangle enthusiasts (both CZTs and others). You will receive 20 hours of instruction designed to enhance and improve your tangling experience. This is an opportunity to take a variety of classes from experienced CZTs. You must have taken an Intro to Zentangle class from a CZT prior to attending this event. All skill levels are welcome to attend. The classes will be held at Cottonwood Center for the Arts – a local arts organization with artist studios, galleries, teaching space, theater space, and shopping. I have my own studio/teaching space in this building and it has a wonderful creative energy that I know we will all enjoy.

The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Visit www.zentangle.com for more information about this wonderful artform.

WHAT IS INCLUDED
The fee includes 20 hours of classroom instruction; all of the classroom curriculum, etc; coffee, tea, soda, water for the AM; some snacks. Each class lists the student supplies you need to bring with you. Some classes also have a small materials fee (payable to the instructor at start of class) for additional supplies. There will be vending tables available for your shopping opportunities. I also have a small retail shop (right in the building) with lots of fun mixed media and Zentangle art supplies available. You are on your own for hotel/lodging and transportation, as well as meals. The venue is located near downtown Colorado Springs, with numerous hotels available within a 5 mile radius.Click HERE for travel and lodging information and suggestions. Of course you can always meet up with fellow students to grab a meal together or plan additional outings.

REGISTRATION/REFUND POLICY
The cost of the retreat is a one-time fee of $550, with a $50 non-refundable deposit. You must pay in full to reserve your spot. If you have to arrive late or leave early, the fee is still the same.  If the retreat is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. If a teacher has to cancel, there will be a different instructor slotted in to take her place so that you will still have the same number of classroom hours. If you need to cancel: 3 months (or more) out there will be an additional $50 cancellation fee, 2-3 months out an additional $100 cancellation fee, less than 2 months out there is no refund (however you are free to gift your registration to someone else – just let me know who it is).
